Rafael Lamo-Gomez

Prior to joining The Middlebrook Group, Rafael served as Consul General for Colombia in New York. He was also Deputy Secretary General of the Presidency of Colombia; Director General of Colombian Prisons and Penitentiary Board; Permanent Representative of the World Tourism Organization; President of the Colombian National Tourism Bureau; and Tourism Attaché for the Colombian Embassy in Spain.

Rafael has been a faculty and associate consultant at the University Externado of Colombia from which he has a five-year degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management. He also completed courses on Planning and Marketing, and Sales Strategies at Ryerson University - Toronto and Javeriana University - Bogotá. Rafael has been a board member of the Colombian-American Chamber of Commerce and the Latin American Association of Political Consultants. He is a member of the International Coach Federation, the American Marketing Association, and a Trustee Representative for the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, the World Trade Center - Miami and the Latin Builders Association. He is frequently a guest speaker at conferences and seminars.
